Bloom is an interdisciplinary performance project centered on participatory engagement, survivor storytelling, and community healing within the South Asian community. Through Indian classical music, dance, and spoken word, the work creates a space for dialogue around sexual assault awareness and survivor self-empowerment. As director and producer, I led cross-disciplinary collaboration, secured grant funding, and facilitated community-centered conversations on sexual assault awareness. The project was developed through a human-centered approach that prioritized empathy, cultural nuance, and survivor agency. The story was written by an anonymous college student (a friend who shared their story in collaboration with me), grounding the performance in lived experience and collective reflection.
